First annual meeting of the European Joint Action on Healthy Life Years (open registration)

19 April 2012  in Paris The first annual meeting of the European Joint Action on Healthy Life Years will be held on the topic of "Increasing Active Healthy Ageing: How can monitoring help achieve the EU goal?”
The meeting's main aim is to release the new 2010 life expectancy and Healthy Life Years values for the 27 Member States - gaps and trends since 2005 - as well as to discuss how monitoring can inform strategies to reach the EU goal of an increase of 2 HLY by 2020.
There will also be two round tables “Improving current data quality and appropriateness” and “What information do we need to aid making policies?”
Data providers, policy makers and researchers active in the area of public health information in the EU will be present as well as policy makers in general.
To attend the meeting you need to register in advance as the number of seats is limited.
