Anti Corruption and Transparency Course (Feb 20 - Mar 2)

According to the organisers of this workshop, MS Training Centre for Development Cooperation (MS-TCDC), by the end of the course participants will have acquired competencies to combat corruption through a better understanding of the concepts and causes of corruption, the impact of corruption, and intervention strategies for redress. They will also be able to design and implement appropriate anti-corruption programmes and campaigns.
The training course will cover the following:
Concepts, root causes, consequences, and impact of corruption on poverty, democracy, and justice;
Legal and institutional anti-corruption frameworks;
conflict sensitive methods, national and community strategies, civic education and para-legalism;
Gender analytical frameworks and mainstreaming approaches in the context of corruption;
Intervention strategies and tools for measuring corruption; corruption barometers and indices;
Participatory Monitoring and Evaluation - indicators and anti–corruption base line surveys;
Action planning;
Internal anti corruption policies/whistler blower concepts and campaigns.

The course is designed for practitioners working in civil society organisations, senior and middle management, programme staff in development and donor agencies, parliamentarians, and government staff at central and local levels.
