The annual e-Gov Africa Forum is a platform for knowledge and best practice sharing among peer groups steering information and communication technologies (ICT) projects related to the electronic delivery of healthcare, education, and governance. A flagship event of the Commonwealth Telecommunication Organisation (CTO), the 2011 forum echoes the Commonwealth’s 2012 theme: "Connecting Cultures." A special workshop is intended for parliamentarians grappling with the Internet and social media.
Key topics of the event are:
e-Gov and ICTs: national strategies and international perspectives.
Creation of e-development labs.
How can e-governance projects be made effective and inclusive?
ICT Incubators – ICT business start up initiatives
Local content/applications development
Broadband access and infrastructure development
CTO is also inviting media partners and supporting partners to collaborate in joint marketing activities. These may include, but is not limited to, the press, publications, marketing/PR websites, ICT associations and not-for-profit/charity organisations.
